Editor's Note: Christine Douglass-Williams describes the unsavoury Muslim Brotherhood-linked connections of Liberal MP Iqra Khalid, who introduced the controversial Motion M-103. Indeed, Khalid’s apparent ties to extremist elements raise questions – if there were still any doubt – about whether the real purpose of Motion M-103 is to silence criticism of Islam.
“‘Land Day’ symbolizes the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) determination to “‘liberate’ ‘Palestine’ by wiping Israel off the map.”
"On April 14, 2018, the Palestine House held its annual commemoration of the “Land Day”…..The keynote speaker at the event was Palestinian Archbishop Atallah Hanna who is known of his support of Syria’s Assad regime and the Palestinian intifada against Israel. “We emphasize our solidarity with Syria, its President, government, people and army,” Hanna posted on his Facebook page……At the event, a Liberal Member of Canada’s Parliament, Iqra Khalid, gave Amin El-Maoued, the Head of Public Relations of the Palestine House, an award of honor."
The alarm has been repeatedly sounded about the Trudeau government’s connections to members who are affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). The latter is notorious for anti-Israel sentiments and rhetoric, which should come as no surprise considering that Hamas is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood and seeks to destroy Israel. The MB’s spiritual leader Yusuf Qaradawi has also stated:
"Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. By means of all the things he did to them – even though they exaggerated this issue – he managed to put them in their place. This was divine punishment for them. Allah willing, the next time will be at the hands of the believers."
A Canadian Member of Parliament, Iqra Khalid, embraced and participated in “Land Day,” yet the mass media in Canada remains virtually silent about the important subject and the implications for Canada. This abhorrent antisemitic April 14 promotion of hate event has been preceded by others. Last July, B’nai Brith reported on a rally in Mississauga’s Celebration Square, where “hundreds of people chanted in Arabic, ‘Remember Khaybar, oh you Jews, the Army of Muhammad will return!,’ in reference to an ancient battle in which a Muslim army defeated and slaughtered Jews in the Arabian Peninsula. On Nov. 4, the same protestors, led by Palestine House Public Relations Chief Amin El-Maoued, returned to Celebration Square to call for the destruction of Israel. With young children in attendance, protesters chanted, ‘Oh youth, join him, join him – the martyr has sacrificed his blood!’ In the context of the Israeli-Arab conflict, ‘martyr’ is often used as a euphemism for terrorist or suicide bomber.” It is critical to note that Iqra Khalid refers to the Public Relations head of Palestine House (which has connections to jihad terrorists) as “Brother Amin,” while he refers to her as his “dear friend” and promises: “we will work together for the next federal election in 2019.” For more about Iqra Khalid, her affiliations — including with Palestine House — and the damaging divisions that she has brought to Canada by introducing her “anti-Islamophobia” Motion M-103, click HERE. Trudeau’s commitment to “diversity” is not the kind of diversity any Canadian who stands for free society and human rights should be supporting.
“On behalf of Trudeau, Liberal MP Iqra Khalid honoured pro- Assad, Intifada activists,” American Center for Democracy, April 15, 2018:
On April 14, 2018, the Palestine House held its annual commemoration of the “Land Day” (symbolizes the Palestinian unwavering commitment to defend the land and to “liberate” Palestine), at Capitol Banquette Hall in Mississauga, ON. The keynote speaker at the event was Palestinian Archbishop Atallah Hanna who is known of his support of Syria’s Assad regime and the Palestinian intifada against Israel. “We emphasize our solidarity with Syria, its President, government, people and army,” Hanna posted on his Facebook page. Hanna added: “President Assad is a distinct Arab national person and history will record the name of this great leader who worked to foil the conspiracy against the State of Syria with the Arab Syrian Army and all the sons of the Syrian people… President Assad is not a murderer or a butcher as some say and circulate, but he is a distinct Arab national leader.” See also “Atallah Hanna arrived in Toronto to attend Palestine House’s Land Day event” (click HERE) At the event, a Liberal Member of Canada’s Parliament, Iqra Khalid, gave Amin El-Maoued, the Head of Public Relations of the Palestine House, an award of honor. The following is MP’s Iqra Khalid short speech at the event:
"Amin El-Maoued. Come on, a round of applause for Amin. I met brother Amin about three years ago now and he has been a rock and a strong ally for myself, for the Palestinian Canadian community within Mississauga – Erin Mills and today on behalf of myself and the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau I want to recognize the great work that brother Amin has done for us and for Mississauga – Erin Mills. Thank you."
Thanking MP Khalid, Amin El-maoued said the following:
"Deeply humbled and honoured to be received this reward from my dear MP [Member of Parliament] friend Iqra Khalid. I’m grateful and thankful for her support and we will work together for the next federal election in 2019. Iqra Khalid is an amazing MP. She is always work[ing] with the communities and she always bring all the communities together under one roof. That roof is Canada."
On April 15, 2018 Amin El-maoued made the following statement:

Also last year (April 15, 2017), MP Khalid attended the Land Day event organized by the Palestine House. Fadlu Michael, the chairperson of the Palestine House awarded MP Khalid a “thanks and appreciation” plaque. On January 18, 2016, MP Khalid met with senior members of the Canadian Palestinian community and board members of the Palestine House including its then deputy chairperson Dr. Nazih Khatatba who serves also as the editor of Meshwar newspaper. The Palestine House was de-funded in 2012 by the federal government for what then Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Jason Kenney referred to as a “pattern of support for extremism.”…
